Main programmatic work at the Social Investment Forum occurs through Working Groups and other special interests, where staff and committed members strive to raise awareness of both environmentally-sustainable and socially-conscious concerns in investment practice.

The Social Investment Research Analyst Network

Advocacy & Public Policy

  • The Advocacy & Public Policy (APP) Working Group conducts research, develops communications and other forms of advocacy related to public policy affecting the SRI industry. APP implements its goals by coordinating responses to critical issues and recommending concrete actions for financial professionals. More >

  • International Working Group (IWG) The International Working Group is a collaboration of global institutional investors, researchers, and advocacy partners interested in learning and discussing how investments can positively affect global issues of concern and influence corporations operating around the world. Community Investing

  • The Community Investing Working Group creates strategies for SIF membes and others to increase investments in communities underserved by traditional financial services. Community Investing provides access to credit, equity, capital, and basic banking products that these communities would otherwise not have. In the U.S. and around the world, community investing makes it possible for local organizations to provide financial services to low-income individuals, and to supply capital for small businesses and vital community services, such as child care, affordable housing, and healthcare.
