Job purpose:
To have primary responsibility for the areas of sales management, product development, distribution channel management, public relations, marketing communications (including advertising and promotions), pricing, market research, and customer service. The Chief Marketing Officer must leverage the company’s high quality of data, technology, intellectual property, and human talent, along with the respect and renown accorded to the company’s principals and founders, to achieve highest potential revenue growth for the firm, with particular focus on building the company’s reach in the mainstream investment market.

Reports to: CEO

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Grow revenues, with a primary focus on the investment market
• Develop strategy to inform product development
• Build brand awareness and brand value
• Participate as a member of the senior management team
• Manage a team of seven with functions of sales, marketing, media relations and market research
• Facilitate and, at the direction of the CEO, lead strategic transitions
• Manage and control expenditure within agreed budgets
• Achieve short- and long-term financial and operational goals

Skills and Experience:
• Proven track record of success in growing revenues from investment product operations and development
• Thorough understanding of investment industry
• Experience in selling, marketing, or using extra-financial investment research preferred
• Minimum 10 years experience in management
• College degree required, and CFA or MBA required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional deportment and discretion
• Capacity to lead subordinates and peers in an entrepreneurial environment
• Demonstrated commitment to quality
• Highest level of personal integrity
